Philip is a financial advisor here in San Diego, CA., that has a passion for helping people reach their retirement goals through investment and financial planning. He believes that every great success story starts with a plan and is built on by understanding your options and putting the right people around you in your life to help you achieve your goals. Having graduated from the University of San Diego with a major in finance, Philip found his passion for investments and financial planning through his professor/mentor who inspired him to pursue a career in financial advising and to be that right person in others’ lives.
Philip, originally from Caledonia, Minnesota, a small rural farm town, grew up the grandson of local business owners that grow and process organic fruits and vegetables where he spent his youth in the summers picking rocks in fields and working in the production plant. Philip moved to San Diego in 2005 when he joined the U.S. Navy. Stationed on the USS Nimitz, he worked as an Aviation Maintenance Administration man deploying to the Persian Gulf and Southeast Asia on two Western Pacific deployments in 2007 and 2008.
In 2010, he joined the U.S. Marine Corps and served as a Satellite Communications Electronics Technician in Camp LeJeune and Logistics Chief while deployed to Camp Leatherneck, Afghanistan in 2013. Philip enjoys spending time with his two kids, going to sporting events, traveling, and enjoying everything that southern California has to offer.
