Brian is a graduate in Business Administration from the University of California (Berkeley) and he earned an M.B.A. degree from that institution. He is also a graduate of the formal Registered Representative training program at the New York Institute of Finance in New York City.

Brian worked on Wall Street for several years in management positions with Dominick and Dominick, Inc. one of the original members of the New York Stock Exchange. He was also employed as a retail Registered Representative for NYSE firms in Seattle and in San Diego. In 1990 Brian formed White Securities, Inc. a discount brokerage firm headquartered in La Mesa, CA. Ten years later he sold White Securities, Inc. to concentrate on Reverse Mortgages originations at Senior American Funding, Inc. along with Retirement Income Planning, and Insurance through Heritage Tax & Insurance Services, Inc. Both corporations were formed as 50/50 partnerships with Matthew Copley. The corporate offices moved to the current location in Mission Valley in the year 2004.

Brian is a Certified Estate Planner and a Registered Financial Consultant. He is also a licensed Broker with the California Department of Real Estate as well as a licensed Mortgage Broker in California. He is an approved member of the National Ethics Bureau. Both Senior American Funding, Inc. and Heritage Tax and Insurance Services, Inc. are accredited long time members of the Better Business Bureau where they each hold A+ (highest) ratings.

Brian and his wife Maureen have lived in East San Diego County since 1974. They raised two daughters locally Meghan and Erin both of whom graduated from the University of California at Santa Cruz and both went on to earn Master’s degrees. Meghan is a Nurse Practitioner at San Francisco General Hospital and Erin teaches seventh grade at Solorsano Middle School in Gilroy, CA.

Brian’s current efforts are centered on Reverse Mortgages and Retirement Income Planning, primarily utilizing guaranteed Insured Investments.

Darby Eccles is a financial advisor with over 20 years of experience as a financial professional. He specializes in retirement planning. He specializes in utilizing various financial tools, such as tax-reduction strategies with investments, social security benefits maximization, and government-insured reverse mortgage plans to help clients meet their goals in retirement. He has his Life License (Accident and Health, Life-only, Variable Contracts); Real Estate License (BRE and NMLS), and Series 66 (Investment Advisor Representative). Darby’s hobbies include music, cycling, and scouting. He and his wife, Leslie, have 6 children and 4 grandchildren.

Javier is the newest addition to the team, beginning in 2014 and immediately obtaining his California Life Insurance License and Mortgage Loan Officer License. He grew up in the Palm Springs area and relocated to San Diego to attend San Diego State University. He holds a degree in Business Management from San Diego State and his California Tax Education Council Certification. Javier values his client relationships with the utmost appreciation and respect and enjoys helping find solutions for his clients to fit their needs. Outside of the office, Javier enjoys playing sports, spending time with his family, and playing the guitar.


Marc Robertson

Marc is considered a unicorn in the San Diego area. Guys like Marc are hard to find because he has lived in San Diego his entire life. With two beautiful children Brady, eight years old, and Reed, 11, he is a busy man. In his youth, Marc vacationed all over the US with his parents. Today he is doing the same with his family. They love it as much as he did as a kid. Marc spends most Saturdays at youth sporting events either coaching or cheering on his boys. As a single dad who loves the outdoors, you will often find him fishing, hiking, and at the beach chasing the dog around. Marc has fun everywhere, even while helping retirees along the way. Marc is an expert in Medicare, HECM reverse mortgages, Legacy planning, Living Trusts, LTC, Final Expense Insurance.

Troy is a retirement planning specialist who enjoys helping people plan for their present as well as their future. He graduated with honors from SDSU with a degree in Accounting. Working in the sports industry as a corporate controller, he spent several years planning finances in the corporate world. Troy graduated cum laude from Law School. As an attorney, he represented several athletes, doing everything from endorsement deals to contract negotiations.

Troy grew up in the Lakeside area and has lived in San Diego his whole life. He has been married to his beautiful wife Cindi for almost 30 years. They have three boys. The oldest, Brandon, and his wife Mandi are expecting their first child very soon. Michael, the second oldest, is a recent graduate of UCSD with an Economics degree and a business minor. The youngest, Justin, is an Aerospace Engineering major at the University of Notre Dame.

Kent Hulse is responsible for accounting and analysis, financial reporting, as well as human resource. Mr. Hulse has diverse financial management experience in industries such as financial services, software, retail, and manufacturing. Mr. Hulse earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern California.

Jessica has lived in San Diego for the past 11 years, but is originally from Denver, CO. Although she loves snowboarding and spending time in the mountains, she will always consider the beach ‘home.’ She has worked for Heritage Tax & Insurance, Inc. for five years and has worn many hats. Starting out as a receptionist, she was quickly promoted to a loan processor. After one year of loan processing, she was promoted again to an executive assistant. She has maintained this position for a few years, growing and expanding with the company. Along with being the executive assistant, one of her main duties is being an event coordinator for all of the company’s seminars. These events are critical for the company’s growth as they are the primary way we earn new clients’ business. Jessica is passionate about her job and enjoys talking to and helping people.

Brittany is a third generation native San Diegan, born and raised in Chula Vista. She is now a part time working wife and mother to two girls ages 5 and 6 months. Four years ago she made the decision to work full time and support her husband as he goes through school. He is currently less a year away from graduating as an engineer.  After having their second baby, working full time changed to working part time so that she is able to spend more time raising their girls.  In 2012 she began working as a receptionist at Heritage Tax & Insurance, Inc., less than a year later, was moved up to Loan Processing and have been in the position since. She thoroughly enjoys gaining more and more knowledge of the mortgage and financial industry and look forward to what our company has in store for the future.

Kelly Junge was born and raised in San Diego by a very supportive, adventurous family. She is currently attending college to earn her Bachelors in Business Administration. During her free time, she enjoys hiking with her energetic dog named Skout, riding in the sand dunes, boating and wakeboarding in the Colorado River, and exploring new roads.
